Hotel Castell and Sojern Partner to Grow Direct Bookings from New Guests

Hotel Castell is a 68‑room boutique hotel above the Swiss village of Zuoz, known for personalized service and strong repeat business. Despite its strengths, the property struggled to attract new guests and relied heavily on third‑party channels, so the team sought a stronger online presence and began partnering with Sojern in November 2018.

Sojern deployed a pay‑on‑the‑stay, commission‑based campaign using real‑time intent signals across display, search, Facebook and Instagram to drive new visitors to the hotel’s website with an always‑on marketing strategy. In seven months the program delivered CHF 75,295 in direct bookings, now represents 18% of the hotel’s direct bookings, reduced third‑party bookings and increased direct bookings from new guests.
