HK Express, Hong Kong’s first and only low-cost carrier, needed a way to reach in‑market travellers with more bespoke messaging at scale without the time and cost of producing dozens of static creatives.
They partnered with Sojern to deploy Dynamic Creative Optimisation, using travel-specific data to serve route- and price-specific ads and retargeting. In H2 2017 this approach drove direct flight bookings at a CPA of HK$22.75 — about 19% lower than comparable static creatives, though slightly above the HK$20 target.
