del Lago Resort & Casino, the Finger Lakes’ premier resort with 205 rooms and full-service amenities, had been driving direct bookings with Sojern via display and SEM on a commission basis but saw disappointing Facebook results from another vendor. Wanting social channels included in a comprehensive plan, del Lago agreed to pilot Facebook and Instagram with Sojern using the same pay-on-stay model.

Sojern deployed three tactics—lookalike audiences for new travelers, site retargeting, and outreach to past bookers—across Facebook and Instagram. In three months this drove 119 direct bookings (a 22% increase in total conversions) and $24K+ in incremental revenue; 56% of Facebook conversions were unique to the channel, 48% were cross-device, and 78% of those involved mobile-to-desktop conversion, demonstrating strong mobile reach and consistent cross-screen messaging.
