Coast Hotels, a full‑service brand with locations across the U.S. and Canada, wanted to drive more direct bookings and improve Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) while showcasing widely varying properties—including remote locations like Yellowknife and Whitehorse. Generic display ads weren’t capturing property-level differences or traveler intent, so Coast and their agency GCommerce looked for a more personalized approach.
They partnered with Sojern to test Dynamic Creative—ads that dynamically serve images, pricing and property details to in‑market prospects—and ran the test against static creative with a 4:1 ROAS target. The January test delivered a ROAS of over 12:1 (up to 69% higher than static), generated $28,155 in incremental direct revenue in one month, and achieved a $31.18 CPA (34% lower than static); Dynamic Creative is now Coast’s go‑to digital strategy.
