Chroma Hospitality, a growing, homegrown hotel management company operating across the Philippines and Indonesia, faced a time-intensive digital marketing load—managing Google and Facebook ads and about 1,500 SEM keywords—to drive direct bookings across its portfolio. To reduce the burden on its small internal team and boost direct revenue, Chroma partnered with Sojern in January 2017.

Sojern provided programmatic display advertising that targeted millions of in-market travellers with real-time intent signals and a pay-on-completed-stay commission model. In 16 months this approach delivered 2,557 booked stays worth $781,317 in direct booking revenue across five properties, helped grow direct business from about 15% to 24% of online sales, and cut marketing time by roughly 50%.
