Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts is a leading international hospitality and spa operator with 25 properties across nine countries and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Although well known in Asia-Pacific, the brand had limited awareness in the Americas—where it operates two Mexico properties, Mayakoba (Riviera Maya) and Cabo Marques (Acapulco)—and faced tougher, more established competitors and a challenging domestic market in Acapulco.
Banyan Tree partnered with Sojern’s RevDirect™ solution to target in-market and lookalike travelers, outsource campaign management on an ROI-based commission model, and pay only after guests completed their stays. Over January–June 2016 Sojern drove 73 bookings generating $229,164 for Mayakoba and 37 bookings generating $69,325 for Cabo Marques, delivering stronger ROI than the brand’s prior SEM efforts.
