Lenovo delivers trusted device attestation with Softeq’s 4-developer team

The customer, Lenovo, a multinational technology company, sought to add an additional security level to its corporate ThinkPad laptops. Their challenge was to build a solution that could verify devices contained only trusted applications and that no changes were made after the devices left the factory. To meet this challenge, they engaged the vendor, Softeq.

Softeq developed a client-server application using C++, Java, AWS, and .NET. Their solution performs automated device attestation on the first boot, cross-validating system measurements with those made at the factory. The application notifies users of successful attestation or any tampering and generates detailed health reports. Softeq delivered a ready-to-install app that helps organizations comply with internal security practices, which was prepared for incorporation into Lenovo's business-oriented laptop range.
