Sikker Media Inc., a Canada-based digital content delivery provider, needed a web-technology app for Smart TVs to give users instant access to on-demand video across platforms. Softeq built a Samsung Smart TV platform app that handles user authorization, displays categorized and rated movies/TV with previews, syncs content with a server, and enables in-app purchases via a stored credit card; the app was approved by Samsung on first submission. Softeq delivered the project on time and on budget, received positive user feedback, and went on to port the app to Philips, Toshiba, Panasonic and LG TVs, expanding the customer’s platform reach.
