Samsung Electronics, a 70‑year industry leader, wanted to extend its Smart TV experience to Samsung mobile users by streaming Smart TV content to Android devices. Because the original outsourcing partner lacked the specific front‑end design and back‑end technical skills required to meet Samsung’s strict graphic guidelines and performance expectations, Samsung engaged Softeq to provide UI and mobile development expertise.

Softeq delivered a fully functional media-distribution app prototype for Samsung that runs on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy Note II, featuring subscription-based access, library browsing, search, favorites, profile/subscription management, trailer/movie playback, and asynchronous server-fed streaming with caching; the player skin was customized to comply with Samsung’s design guidelines. The Softeq prototype resolved the front‑end and streaming challenges and demonstrated a production-ready solution for delivering interruption‑free content updates to Samsung’s multimillion-user mobile audience.
