A Softeq Case Study
An electronics company in Belarus needed an Android-powered indoor/outdoor home intercom with video streaming and required Android kernel customization and Linux development to bring the concept to production. SOFTEQ was engaged on a fixed-price R&D project to design the multicomponent solution and lead the platform engineering (Android, Linux).
SOFTEQ performed extensive R&D, customized the Android kernel, and developed Linux-based backend components—including a SIP/WebGUI communications server and a Ruby information server—alongside outdoor and apartment intercom panels, a concierge workstation, and Android/iOS user apps. The SOFTEQ-delivered system provided a production-ready video-intercom platform with robust SIP communications and smartphone access, meeting the customer’s project scope on schedule under the fixed-price engagement.
