Its existing calculation software was hard to maintain, difficult to extend, and no longer met its needs, so the company turned to Sofon for a more flexible system to support both calculations and the wider sales workflow.

Sofon implemented a configurable quotation and engineering solution that captured product knowledge in a living model, automated checks on combinations, and generated accurate quotations and bills of materials. As a result, Schneider Electric can now produce about 95% of quotations in Sofon, shorten quotation cycle times, reduce errors, and free engineers to spend more time with customers—all without needing consultancy for every change.
