Montis, a high-end designer furniture manufacturer, needed a better way to manage its highly complex, highly customizable order process. Because customers configure chairs and other seating with many combinations of designer, legs, seat, fabric, and leather options, Montis was struggling with an opaque, hard-to-manage legacy configurator and needed a more flexible solution that could integrate with its MFG/Pro ERP system.

Montis implemented Sofon Sales Configurator and Sofon Studio to streamline product configuration and order entry. Sofon enabled Montis to build around 250 models in three weeks and later manage about 700 models, while cutting new product setup time from several days to about half an hour for fabric and leather updates. The result was faster and more flexible product introductions, more transparent and customer-friendly order handling, shorter training time, fewer errors, and the successful configuration of approximately 200,000 products over 10 years.
