ESSERTEC, a German manufacturer of domelights, flat-roof windows, daylight systems, smoke extraction systems and related products, needed a better way to manage increasingly complex quotations as its product range expanded from 20,000 to 120,000 items. Its old software could no longer keep up with current and future requirements, and creating accurate, rapid quotations had become too time-consuming and maintenance-heavy.

ESSERTEC implemented Sofon quotation software to support rules-based, guided selling and standardize the quoting process. With Sofon, employees could configure products using features rather than item numbers, avoid invalid combinations, and generate consistent quotations with optional positions and integrated links to ERP and CRM systems. The result was faster, more convenient quotation creation, less administration, and quick adoption: back office users were trained in four weeks, and new product adjustments could be made in a short time with little effort.
