Vodafone in New Zealand (1,400 employees) faced fragmented internal communications: all‑staff emails were frequently ignored or trashed, survey response rates were low, team meetings were clogged with housekeeping, and a large global intranet made information hard to find. Vodafone engaged SnapComms to tackle these challenges using a mix of desktop alerts, questionnaires/surveys, a digital e‑newsletter (“The Lot”), corporate screensavers and staff quizzes.
SnapComms customized its offerings and developed new tools that turned screensavers into live billboards, launched The Lot to reduce all‑staff emails, and used surveys and quizzes to capture feedback and boost participation. Results include 80% of staff rating screensaver content positively (50% notice each new one), 90% participating in quizzes (80% rating quiz content positively), and 50% reading The Lot regularly; surveys also revealed increased public transport commuting. SnapComms’ solutions measurably improved engagement, brand alignment and internal feedback for Vodafone.
