Sephora, the French luxury retailer, wanted to make its seasonal animated product videos instantly shoppable across its French, Spanish, Italian, and Polish websites. Working with Smartzer and its shoppable video technology, Sephora also aimed to gain deeper analytics on how viewers interacted with the videos, including which products were most popular and whether customers preferred adding items to cart or viewing more details.

Smartzer implemented interactive shoppable videos with tagged hotspots, a shoppable carousel, and double CTAs that let viewers either add products directly to cart or click through to product pages. The campaign delivered strong performance, with an average 47% engagement rate and 9% click-through rate, while 34% of CTA clicks on product popups went to “Add to Cart,” indicating strong impulse purchasing behavior.
