The Department for Education faced fragmented, unsecured data collection as many internal users independently procured different online survey tools, creating no way to monitor spend, survey quality or data security. Concerned that inexperienced staff were producing poor-quality surveys and risking data privacy, the Department engaged SmartSurvey and selected the SmartSurvey Enterprise Edition via the G-Cloud framework to provide a single, secure platform.

SmartSurvey implemented a centrally managed Enterprise solution with 200 licences, role-based access, branded templates, webinar training and an internal network of “SmartSurvey Champions,” while offering ISO 27001 certification, UK-hosted encrypted storage and off-line/online distribution options. As a result, the Department for Education now has 200 user accounts, improved oversight, higher-quality and more secure data collection, and a streamlined approval process that reduces burden on schools and lowers procurement risk.
