Eataly Net, the world's largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, wanted to increase product consideration and drive more traffic and purchases from new customers. They aimed to test video advertising but faced challenges scaling production due to their vast number of individual products and categories. To overcome this, they turned to vendor Smartly.io and its Video Templates solution.
Using Smartly.io's Video Templates, Eataly created fully customized, on-brand videos at scale from their product data feeds. These videos were tested against static image carousels in a targeted campaign. The A/B testing proved the videos were significantly more effective, driving a 43% higher click-through rate and a 47% higher return on ad spend compared to the static ads.
