Flowbird was tasked with integrating all of Helsinki’s passenger transport—buses, trams, metro, local rail and ferries—into a single commuter solution. With eight teams across three countries, they needed better alignment, shared terminology and more effective collaboration to deliver a reliable, city-wide system.

Using CucumberStudio and a BDD approach, Flowbird created standardized terminology and living documentation to unify teams. That shift also streamlined testing, reducing 3,300+ functional tests into about 1,700 reusable steps, improving efficiency, traceability and cross-team collaboration.
