Corel Corporation Uses TestComplete to Develop a Full-Featured Test Automation Solution

Corel Corporation, a maker of consumer and small-business productivity and graphics software, faced inconsistent, individualistic test automation practices that caused lost assets, duplicated effort, and uneven reporting. Management wanted a unified, accessible system that handled multiple SKUs, languages and custom UIs, improved efficiency, and gave developers, QA and managers reliable, actionable results for faster, more confident releases.

Corel selected TestComplete and built a C# multi-tier framework using TestComplete’s connected-application feature plus a keyword layer and Intellisense-enabled editor to centralize and simplify test creation and maintenance. The solution runs automated tests daily, freed manual testers for higher-value use-case testing, improved coverage and earlier defect detection, and saves about 5–7 days of manual testing per major SKU while delivering faster, more confident releases.
