A Slack Case Study
Stax, a cloud automation and management startup spun out of Versent, supports AWS customers from a distributed team of about 50 people across Perth, Amsterdam, Melbourne and Portugal. With employees in multiple time zones and a focus on rapid customer outcomes, Stax needed a single, searchable hub to coordinate work, onboard new hires, and respond quickly to platform issues—especially as the company shifted to remote work during the COVID‑19 pandemic.
Stax uses Slack channels and an array of integrations (PagerDuty, Pingdom, Box, Gmail/Outlook, Atlassian and custom Stax hooks) to enable asynchronous collaboration, centralize alerts and streamline onboarding (#new-starters, #officedogs) and temporary project work. The result: faster customer troubleshooting, seamless transition to remote operations, easier onboarding, and a more open, searchable culture that increased team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
