Case Study: KAYAK achieves streamlined travel workflows and faster innovation with Slack

A Slack Case Study

Preview of the KAYAK Case Study

Slack’s developers of the year, Igor Gaidaichuk and Justas Belevicius, build innovative apps for KAYAK

KAYAK, a pioneer in travel and part of Booking Holdings, was looking for ways to make business travel and internal coordination easier as the company scaled to billions of searches. Using Slack, its teams wanted to reduce siloed communication, automate routine work, and build tools that would help employees and travelers move faster.

Slack helped KAYAK implement custom bots, workflows, huddles, and the ChatGPT integration for Slack to streamline tasks and improve collaboration. KAYAK built the KAYAK for Business app and an Out of Office Generator, and also deployed bots for publishing alerts, attendance checks, and status updates; one bot already has more than 800 users. The result was more efficient travel planning, faster approvals, better team alignment, and more time for higher-impact work.
