Salling Group, Denmark’s largest retailer, needed a better way to support hybrid work and accelerate its growing digital-first ambitions across stores, online businesses, and internal teams. After early adoption by a small group of developers, the company turned to Slack to replace cumbersome email chains and improve real-time collaboration, incident response, and productivity.
Slack helped Salling Group build a more connected workflow with channels, huddles, search, integrations, and automations, including Datadog alerts and Slack Connect for external partners. The result was faster response times, smoother development and operations, and measurable productivity gains: the team reported a productivity increase at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and Slack use grew organically to more than 200 users.
