How Spotify harmonises external collaboration in Slack Connect

Spotify used Slack Connect from Slack to streamline secure collaboration with external partners across its global business. As a company working with many vendors, contractors, and teams across 14 international offices, Spotify needed a faster and safer alternative to email and guest-account management, especially for sensitive vendor communication and merger-and-acquisition work.

Slack implemented Slack Connect as a centralized, secure channel-based workspace for Spotify and its outside collaborators. The result was stronger control over access and data, less email back-and-forth, and major administrative savings by replacing thousands of guest accounts with shared channels; Slack also helped Spotify complete a confidential acquisition process online with about 30 channels over three months.
