Case Study: Sportradar achieves a 14-day pivot to simulated sports and seamless global collaboration with Slack

A Slack Case Study

Preview of the Sportradar Case Study

How Sportradar made a winning bet with Slack

Sportradar is a Swiss-based global sports data provider that aggregates real-time information from more than 7,500 data journalists and 500 IT experts across 65 sports and roughly 400,000 matches a year for bookmakers, federations and broadcasters. When Covid-19 halted live sport, the company faced the urgent challenge of creating new, monetizable offerings to replace lost live-event data and keep customers engaged.

Sportradar used Slack as its default internal collaboration platform and Slack Connect for customer-facing work, with channel-based handovers across seven teams in ten locations and integrations to Jira Cloud and PagerDuty to manage incidents and workflows. That channel-driven workflow enabled the company to design, build, test and launch simulated reality sports in 14 days, achieve instant customer uptake, expand coverage to additional leagues and sports, and maintain faster, 24/7 collaboration and problem resolution.
