OneOncology, a US oncology network serving community practices, needed a better way to help busy clinicians collaborate, share knowledge, and keep up with rapidly changing cancer care without adding to email overload or burnout. The organization turned to Slack, using it alongside its OneCommunity platform and Slack Enterprise Grid to support communication across 15 practices and more than 130 clinic sites.
Slack helped OneOncology build virtual tumor boards, a real-time molecular helpline, and on-demand learning channels for disease expertise and value-based care content. The results included faster expert consults, genomic report turnaround in 24 to 48 hours, improved provider productivity, and broader access to actionable information for 850 providers across 15 U.S. states.
