A Slack Case Study
Fox Corporation, a large U.S. media company with more than 22,000 employees, needed a faster way to coordinate live sports coverage across producers, editors, designers, and on-air talent spread around the country and the world. Before Slack, much of the workflow happened through email and multiple messaging tools, making it hard to get real-time feedback, track requests, and avoid important messages getting lost.
Slack provided a centralized collaboration hub for Fox Corporation, with channels for production, triage, content creation, onboarding, and performance tracking, plus integrations like Zoom and ServiceNow. Using Slack, Fox Corporation managed the 2018 FIFA World Cup coverage in real time, coordinated more than 200 freelancers, and tracked up to 130 pieces of content per day; the company said highlights that once took hours to approve and distribute could now be shared in near real time, enabling faster decisions and more agile workflows.
