A Skillsoft Case Study
TELUS, a leading Canadian telecommunications company with about $12.5 billion in annual revenue and roughly 12.5 million customer connections, needed to boost learning ROI, align personal development with business objectives, and improve engagement in its development programs. The Learning and Collaboration team had already formed the TELUS 2.0 Adoption Council and launched the TELUS Leadership Philosophy (TLP) to embed leadership into every employee’s lifecycle, but sought a scalable social-learning solution.
Skillsoft moved TELUS to a new Human Capital Management suite with Jam to consolidate social conversations, videos, wikis and blogs, and implemented a blended learning approach using inGenius, Skillsoft Leadership Advantage and SkillChoice. The initiative saved more than $6 million through the Learning 2.0/TLP framework, produced a 19% efficiency increase (equating to over $2,800 skill value per learner), and raised career-development satisfaction by 13%.
