Spin Master, a leading global children’s entertainment company (brands include GUND, Etch A Sketch and PAW Patrol), faced a sudden drop in Amazon Advertising conversion rates when COVID-19 lockdowns and Amazon shipping delays disrupted fulfillment. Spin Master had been working with the Skai Expert Services team to manage its Amazon Advertising campaigns on Skai Ecommerce since February 2020 and needed a way to quickly shift ad spend toward items shoppers could actually receive.
Skai partnered with ecommerce intelligence firm DataWeave to scrape Amazon multiple times per week for shipping-window data, then used that signal to only drive traffic to product pages with a seven-day delivery window. After Skai enabled the tracking, conversion rates rose sharply the following week, the teams were able to minimize lost sales and better manage expectations during the pandemic, and Spin Master plans to continue monitoring this insight as the account transitions in‑house.
