Socialpoint, the Barcelona-based mobile game developer behind hits like Dragon City and the new World Chef, needed to rapidly drive iOS awareness and installs across Instagram and Facebook while keeping Cost Per Install (CPI) low and testing targeting and optimization without prior benchmarks. They partnered with Skai, using Skai’s mobile app install solutions, to scale early user acquisition with an even split of budget between the two platforms.
Skai implemented a soft-launch iterative testing approach—experimenting with bids, creative lines, pace types, ad formats and nested lookalike audiences by gender, age, device and country—then scaled those learnings with daily performance reviews and weekly strategy calls. The Skai-led campaigns achieved a 50% conversion rate and record-setting Instagram results: 13,000 iOS installs in a single day, with Facebook delivering high-quality users at roughly half the target eCPI.
