Heinz UK, working with Dentsu, needed a way to connect competitor digital shelf signals to retail media to improve performance during Prime Day. The team turned to Skai and Profitero’s Shelf Intelligent Media integration to bring digital shelf insights into the retail media workflow.
Using Skai, Heinz and Dentsu automated bid changes based on competitor stockouts to boost conquesting, while pausing bids when their own products were out of stock to improve efficiency. The result was a stronger Prime event with no change in spend: impressions rose 11%, paid share of Page 1 increased 13%, ROAS improved 6%, and CPC fell 8%.
