Velvet Hotel increased direct bookings and overall revenue by using SiteMinder’s complete product suite

The Velvet Hotel, a 19‑room boutique in Manchester managed by Darren Reilly, struggled with manual reservation processes that led to occasional overbookings, a commission‑charging booking engine that ate into profits, and a website that was difficult to update. To address these issues the hotel partnered with SiteMinder and adopted components of SiteMinder’s product suite, including the Channel Manager, TheBookingButton and Canvas.

SiteMinder implemented the Channel Manager to eliminate double‑bookings and integrate availability with the PMS, deployed TheBookingButton to increase direct bookings, enable extras and automated pre/post‑stay emails and promo codes, and provided Canvas to simplify in‑house website updates and analytics. As a result SiteMinder helped the Velvet Hotel increase direct bookings and overall revenue, reduce overbookings, improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction, and lower web‑maintenance costs.
