Case Study: dnata improves passenger information at Erbil International Airport with SITA Cloud IDS

dnata, a major air services provider, needed a reliable way to deliver clearer, more comprehensive flight and airport information to passengers at Erbil International Airport in a challenging operating environment. SITA worked with dnata to modernize the airport’s passenger information experience, using its Information Display System (IDS) for Cloud as part of a wider airport technology project.

SITA implemented the first fully cloud-hosted IDS at Erbil International, with 113 screens live since August 2021 and support for Arabic, Kurdish, and English. The new SITA solution delivered dynamic, media-rich flight and airport messaging with no onsite infrastructure, and since deployment there have been no technical issues or system breakdowns, improving passenger flow and information delivery.
