A SITA Case Study
The WILD Program aimed to accelerate female leadership and close gender disparity in Australia’s STEM sector by 2040. SITA supported that mission by nominating its Senior Development Manager Anne Conlon to join the Women in Leadership Development cohort and by backing internal talent initiatives such as its Sydney graduate program and newly formed mobile development team.
SITA’s approach combined sponsorship of leadership development with hands-on career pathways and delivery work — coaching graduates, building a mobile team, and delivering border-management and travel apps. The outcomes include Anne’s participation in the 2022 WILD Program, a third-year graduate intake, industry recognition (the Australian Electronic Travel Authority app won a Gold Award) and SITA Council Awards for COVID-19 border response technology, demonstrating measurable impact on both employee development and customer-facing solutions.
