Asian Airline Company needed to increase sales by working with more online partners and to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable delivery of reservation data. After joining an airline alliance, the carrier also had to manage a significant rise in data distribution for interlining and code‑sharing. They engaged SITA and its SITA Type B Distribution Service (AVS message distribution package) to address these messaging and distribution challenges.
SITA moved the airline’s traffic from direct host‑provider links onto the SITA Type B Distribution Service with the AVS package, providing fully managed connectivity, prioritized delivery and broad messaging interoperability. The change delivered improved reliability and performance of reservation message delivery, reduced total cost of ownership, and a scalable, managed solution — backed by SITA’s Type B network that handles 25 million messages daily and serves 2,400+ community members.
