Regional Airline Company faced high per-airport connectivity costs, long lead times from local telcos, and the challenge of achieving resilient, secure internet breakout at many small and regional airports. To address this, they adopted SITA’s SITA Connect Light at Airports service delivered over SITA’s AirportHub shared infrastructure.

SITA implemented a managed, resilient WAN/LAN solution with shared routers, dual Internet access, integrated security and one IP bandwidth for front-office, back-office and internet traffic, eliminating the need for independent links at each site. As a result, the Regional Airline Company reduced costs, gained built-in resiliency and broader coverage with a single partner, and achieved much faster deployments (lead time to connect can be as short as two weeks); SITA’s AirportHub is now being deployed at more than 300 small and regional airports.
