Global Airline was migrating users to Office 365 and needed to implement Internet breakout at outstations so international users could connect to the nearest cloud, while preserving the same Advanced Threat Protection and consistent security posture they had at headquarters. The airline faced increased attack surface, performance and scalability challenges, and wanted to avoid installing equipment at every outstation. SITA was engaged to address these requirements using SITA Connect Web Protection (Web Protection).

SITA routed all user web traffic through its Web Protection cloud for full inspection (including SSL), content filtering, cloud firewall, AV, sandboxing and advanced threat protection, with a device app for off‑net users and optional local nodes for restricted sites. SITA demonstrated equivalent threat detection to the headquarters solution and rolled the service out to outstations in weeks with no field engineer visits, maintaining user experience, delivering per‑user Opex pricing, and providing a consistent, centrally managed security posture across the airline.
