Ghassist, an Angolan ground‑handling leader founded in 1997, sought to expand its services with a “Lost and Found” baggage offering to tackle mishandled bags and reduce passenger disruption. To do this Ghassist partnered with SITA, deploying SITA’s WorldTracer and SITATEX products to add real‑time baggage tracking and passenger communication to its ground‑handling portfolio.
SITA implemented WorldTracer for global lost‑and‑found tracking and SITATEX for operational messaging, allowing Ghassist to report and monitor mishandled bags in real time without lengthy phone procedures. The result was immediate: faster baggage resolution, reduced handling costs, improved airline efficiency and better passenger satisfaction — measurable operational improvements Ghassist attributes to SITA’s solutions.
