Geneva Airport delivers a more efficient passenger experience with SITA

Geneva International Airport (GVA) faced the challenge of processing large volumes of passengers efficiently within its space-constrained terminal. They needed to offer a faster, more secure, and seamless experience, especially during peak ski seasons, while also aiming to improve operational efficiency and increase commercial revenue. To meet these goals, they partnered with SITA for a digital passenger processing solution.

SITA implemented its self-service technology, including Smart Path kiosks and automated bag drop stations, to create touchpoints for check-in, bag drop, and boarding. This solution allowed the airport to process more passengers within the same footprint, speeding up passenger flow through key areas. SITA's technology achieved measurable results, with up to 33% of Lufthansa Group passengers using self-bag drop, freeing up agents and giving travelers more dwell time for concessions.
