Dots Connect Technology, a South African IT services and ISP founded in 2016, faced severe disruption from COVID-19 lockdowns that limited movement and revenue just as demand shifted to home internet. SITA supported the company through its SITA-funded business development programme (managed by Raizcorp) as part of its CSR and B-BBEE efforts to accelerate black-owned SMMEs.

SITA’s programme provided funding, mentorship and business training that covered operational expenses, supported marketing and branding, and enabled Dots Connect Technology to build network infrastructure to deliver wireless and fibre internet into underdeveloped urban areas. As a result, Dots Connect survived the lockdown, improved financial planning and target-setting, expanded its ISP offerings and is positioned for national growth — outcomes driven by SITA’s support.
