Airport Operational Database (AODB) faced irregular, labor‑intensive and error‑prone delivery of airlines’ operational messages, which delayed resource allocation, billing and passenger information. To resolve this, SITA provided its Aviation Operational Statistics (AOS) Data Transformation and Community Messaging services to standardize incoming Type B messages and simplify integration into the AODB.
SITA centrally transforms Type B operational messages into a tagged XML format and delivers them into the AODB via the airport’s chosen middleware (IBM MQ or SITA TaXi), with optional SITATEX Online for partners. The result: real‑time data processing into the AODB, reduced manual effort, improved data quality, faster billing and more timely resource allocation and passenger updates, enabling better collaboration with airlines and handling partners.
