Telefonica deploys Signiant across 27 locations to secure file transfers at sea

Telefónica, a major telecommunications company, partnered with Signiant to address a challenge for the Spanish Ministry of Defence. The challenge involved reliably and securely transferring large media files and personal communications to naval ships and remote land bases, which suffered from poor and inconsistent connectivity. This lack of reliable file transfer was impacting military morale and operational security.

Signiant implemented its Manager+Agents solution to efficiently move content over limited and challenging bandwidth. The solution provided speed, security, and reliability, with features like Checkpoint Restart ensuring transfers were completed even when connectivity was interrupted. The project was a success, significantly improving the well-being of personnel. Signiant was deployed at 27 locations, including 11 land bases and 18 ships, providing a complete and easy-to-use workflow for the Ministry of Defence.
