A SICOM Systems Case Study
KRAF Inc., a Burger King franchisee, wanted a kitchen management solution that would help its restaurants cook the right amount of food at the right time while avoiding waste, bad products, and long wait times. In 2016, it piloted the SICOM Chef Kitchen Management System (KMS) at Burger King store #4747 in Phoenix to evaluate whether the system would fit its operations.
SICOM Systems implemented Chef KMS integrated with SICOM POS, Prince Castle PHUs, and Timer Bars to deliver real-time cook, hold, thaw, and prep guidance based on live sales and inventory. According to KRAF, the solution made production more accurate and streamlined, improved speed of service, minimized waste, and required minimal training and support, with the restaurant able to keep using existing Timer Bars during a seamless transition.
