A Shopware Case Study
Rausch, the century-old Berlin chocolatier, faced a strategic realignment: moving away from third-party distribution to focus on direct sales and create an immersive online brand experience. To support this digital transformation Rausch worked with Shopware technology via Shopware 5—implemented by Shopware partner agency Neofonie—to build a responsive, storytelling-led shop that needed to be mobile-ready, tightly integrated with back-end systems, and capable of supporting new commerce features like subscriptions and product configurators.
Using Shopware 5 as the platform, Neofonie delivered a customized responsive storefront with Shopware’s backend at the center of order, payment and shipping processes, and IntegrationMan (HONICO) connecting the shop to SAP and a bespoke content system. The shop went live in just three months, introduced features such as a “Pick & Mix” configurator, wish lists and subscriptions, and soon after won the 2016 Deutschen Digital Award for Digital Commerce – User experience/Usability. Shopware’s solution helped Rausch rapidly shift to direct online and phone sales while strengthening the brand’s storytelling and customer experience.
