A Shopware Case Study

Preview of the Lex & Hesse Case Study

Lex & Hesse - Customer Case Study

Lex & Hesse is a Dresden- and Berlin-based wholesaler of spare parts for buses, rail vehicles and thermal management, serving major customers like Deutsche Bahn and BVG. Moving from a closed, in-house B2B shop and aiming to appeal to B2C later, they sought high-usability, high-performance ecommerce software and chose Shopware (Shopware 5.2), drawn to its responsive theme and REST API for ERP integration.

Shopware, implemented with partner WEBneo, delivered a customized B2B shop with real‑time price calculations fed from a bi-directional SAGE ERP interface, stock comparisons across sites, and features like Business Essentials and Smart Search. The new Shopware shop lists 100,000+ items (planned to grow to 250,000), halved manual processing through automated order/ERP transfer, doubled average cart value, and drove a 500% increase in turnover within four weeks of going live.
