Kahrs is a B2B timber stockholder that has sold wood online since 2008 and expanded into a dedicated B2B shop to serve trade customers. Facing the need to support complex, industry-specific units of measurement and typical B2B workflows (rights, roles, budgets, release processes, customer-specific employees and delivery addresses), Kahrs implemented the Shopware Enterprise Edition with the Shopware B2B Suite and Business Essentials to power its new wholesale storefront.

Using Shopware (implemented by Webcustoms IT Solutions GmbH in about six months), Kahrs combined the Shopware B2B Suite and Business Essentials with a custom "Formula Manager" to calculate timber by linear metre, cubic metre, square metre, pallets, bundles, etc. The solution supports roughly 6,000 products and 9,000 variants across seven main categories and ~120 subcategories, simplified manual processes, gated pricing for registered customers, and delivered greater transparency, faster availability and more streamlined B2B operations — demonstrating Shopware’s flexibility for industry-specific commerce.
