A Shopware Case Study
ic! berlin, the Berlin-based eyewear producer known for handmade, screwless‑joint frames, needed a modern, brand‑accurate website that could later evolve into a full online shop while supporting B2C and B2B workflows, multilingual/multi‑currency sales and integration with existing systems. For this relaunch the company chose Shopware 5 Professional Edition, leveraging Shopware’s Shopping Worlds to deliver flexible, visually appealing category and product pages and broader marketing capabilities.
Implemented with Shopware, the new site now manages 235 products (935 variants) across 17 categories in German, English, Japanese and Korean and supports EUR, GBP, USD, CAD, YEN and KRW; the €180,000 project includes a SAP Business One product/retailer interface, Mailchimp integration, a retailer portal, password‑protected B2B/B2C areas, a dynamic size‑guide app and a proximity‑based store finder. Shopware’s backend and Shopping Worlds give ic! berlin easy content control and strong brand presentation, while the platform is primed for next steps—shopping cart, Click & Collect and additional plugins—to expand measurable ecommerce capabilities.
