Case Study: Book publisher Folio Verlag achieves direct online sales and time savings with Shopware 6

A Shopware Case Study

Preview of the Folio Verlag Case Study

Folio Verlag - Customer Case Study

Folio Verlag, a Vienna and Bozen–based book publisher founded in 1994, faced an outdated online presence and wanted to re‑establish a direct-to-consumer shop so customers could buy straight from the publisher rather than being sent to third parties. To modernize sales and marketing capabilities they chose Shopware (Professional Edition of Shopware 6 with Silver Subscription), with implementation and hosting handled by Shopware partner teamblau GmbH.

Shopware delivered a Shopware 6 storefront implemented in 12 weeks (project volume €30,000) that put 250 books online and integrated key systems—VLB TIX for catalog import, LKG for payment and shipping, Google Analytics and CleverReach—plus custom author listings and Shopping Experiences for emotional landing pages. The result: books are available directly from Folio Verlag, data maintenance is automated (saving time and costs), authors can be tagged per product, and campaign/landing‑page creation is faster, giving Folio a functional direct sales channel alongside marketplaces.
