devolo, a north‑western Germany–based maker of powerline and data communication products, faced the challenge of presenting itself as a manufacturer while still appealing to end customers and launching into B2C. To achieve a content‑and‑commerce “symbiosis,” devolo chose Shopware (Shopware 5 – Enterprise Edition) with implementation support from Shopware partner Netshops, aiming to unite corporate information, product storytelling and a smooth shopping experience.

Netshops implemented a combined Typo3 CMS front end with Shopware Enterprise powering product data, checkout and integrations (SAGE ERP, “my devolo” single sign‑on), plus chat and enhanced service features; the nine‑month project delivered richer product pages, downloads, FAQs and streamlined UX. The Shopware‑based solution led to measurable success — devolo reported turnover growth and won three major awards within six months (two Shop Usability Awards and the 2016 Shop Award for Best Product Presentation), demonstrating improved usability and customer engagement.
