A Shopware Case Study
Büroforum planen und einrichten, a Würzburg-based supplier of designer and office furniture operating both B2C and B2B shops (einrichten-design.de and bueroforum.net) faced a complex digital commerce challenge: migrate from Magento, manage ~90,000 active items across several hundred categories, support multilingual global sales and external channels, integrate manufacturer OFML data for detailed product visuals and configurability, and gain greater design flexibility without heavy reliance on developers. They chose Shopware, implementing Shopware 6 Enterprise to meet these requirements.
Using Shopware 6 (implemented with partners Kellerkinder and tricoma solutions), Shopware delivered a unified ecommerce platform in 11 months that consolidated PIM, Magento, TYPO3 and WordPress workflows, enabled Shopping Experiences and OFML-driven product configuration, and supported B2B/B2C plus external channels like Amazon and Idealo. The result: recorded increases in sales, autonomous content and presentation management that reduced dependence on external developers, streamlined multilingual operations to three languages, and greater agility for future feature builds — all achieved with Shopware at the core.
