A Shopware Case Study
Best4Automation, a young B2B start‑up marketplace for industrial automation, needed a scalable eCommerce platform to sell around 74,000 products across 2,400 categories from multiple manufacturers while giving customers a bundled checkout with a single invoice and reliable deliveries via several SAP and warehouse connections. To meet these requirements Best4Automation chose Shopware—deploying Shopware Enterprise Edition with the Enterprise Marketplace (Diamond support), the Advanced Cart plugin and Shopping Worlds.
Shopware, implemented with Enterprise Partner NETFORMIC, served as the central marketplace middleware: NETFORMIC delivered an MVP and more than 15 supplier shops that connect to various ERPs/warehouses, synchronising product data into the central Best4Automation marketplace and routing orders back to suppliers. The 12‑month implementation produced a live, Europe‑wide platform that now handles ~74,000 SKUs and 2,400 categories, streamlines single‑invoice ordering and enables ongoing functional expansion via Shopware plugins—positioning Best4Automation for continued growth.
